This report aims to inform on the progress of ASEAN as a region in the attainment of the 25 MDGs indicators that are available for ASEAN – from the total 60 official MDGs indicators.

This 2017 ASEAN Community Progress Monitoring System (ACPMS) Report is the third of the APCMS report series.

The AHK World Business Outlook is based on a survey conducted by the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad
(AHKs). The survey took place in September 2016 and gathers the feedback from about 2.200 companies.

This study focuses on the ASEAN region, and provides insight targeted in particular at German investors. Its findings are based on an analysis of the current reality regarding German FDI into the region as well as a snapshot of perceptions drawn from a survey of 254 German companies.

In October and November 2014 surveyed the GABC together with EY and with the support of the German Embassy about 139 German companies in ASEAN. The target was to evaluate the business sentiment as well as  the expectations of the announced ASEAN Economic Community.
