ASEAN

The foundation of ASEAN in 1967 marked a milestone for regional integration in South-East Asia. Its founding states, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand aimed to maintain peace in the region as well as to bring prosperity and stability whilst respecting each other’s sovereignty.
